Flash's Offense Gets Rolling Against KoP

May 18, 2019 -- The Flash turned in a strong effort in a 4-0 win against King of Prussia at Heebner Park. The Flash communicated well in the field, controlled the ball for much of the game, and peppered the KoP net with shots throughout the match.

Aidan put the Flash on the board early with a shot from the 18 that snuck past the goaltender. Grayson nearly extended the lead a few moments later when he clanged a shot off the post. Later in the half, the KoP goalie had to make a tough save on a good shot by Will.

The Flash converted more chances in the second half. Tyler gave the Flash a 2-0 lead by banking in a corner kick off a KoP defender. A few minutes later, Colin's hustle paid off as he followed up his own mishit by lacing a shot past the goaltender.

King of Prussia had their best chance with a big shot on a direct kick, but Charlie made a strong save to preserve the shutout.

The Flash had numerous other scoring opportunities, including a one-timer by Avinash off a centering pass from Aidan, a shot by Grayson that would have gone in if not for a diving save, a one-timer by Aidan off a pass from Vance, a shot off the post by Colin, a shot by Chase that went just wide off a centering pass by Avinash, and a penalty kick by Connor.

Kenny put the icing on the cake with the Flash's fourth goal, off a corner kick by Aidan. Joey nearly added a goal of his own, but the KoP goalie was up to the challenge.

Vance and Charlie combined for the clean sheet. The Flash improved to 2-1-1 in spring play with the win.
