Flash Rally but Fall Late to Coventry

April 14, 2019 -- “Live by the late goal, die by the late goal” could very well be the Flash’s motto this spring. After winning in the final minute of play last week, the Flash were victimized by a late goal Sunday and fell 3-2 to Coventry SA in Pottstown.

Colin was the man of the match for the Flash, scoring two second half goals to give his team a chance to win. His first goal came off an assist from Connor and tied the game at 1-1. The Flash’s second goal was especially pretty. Colin gathered a one-touch volley from Charlie and, with two quick touches, lofted the ball over the goalie and into the net.

Two minutes later, Coventry evened the score at 2-2, which is where it stayed until Coventry netted the game-winner in the 49th minute.

The Flash put a slow start behind them and came out with a focused, determined effort in the second half. Aidan made some strong saves in the second half to keep the game within reach.
